When browsing through John Lewis first and only collection that striked me was Alice Temperley’s Somerset Collection. It had wonderful crochet skirts and peplum tops. So as promised, here is my Catwalk Crochet for less SECRETS.
If it was up to me l would make crochet a must-have for the wardrobe - as Temperley has shown us in two seasons running.
There are many ways of finding and wearing crochet;
1, The High Street - Oasis have a wide range of crochet tops from £35.00 to £40.00.
2, eBay - I found this crochet blouse on eBay for £10.99. With a choice of cream or black all the way from China. My suggestion would be to wear with matching vest/top lining and it will look bang on trend and very chic.
3, Create it yourself - If you’re anything like me, l love to design and create my own classic fashion pieces.
I went to various fabric shops and came across a market near Green Street which has 3 - 5 different crochet patterns.
I brought a few but first I decided to buy a floral crochet pattern and match with plain cream/stone colour sleeves. I designed a simple yet classic crochet dress as I plan on wearing it casually as shown in the image and jazz it up with a colourful scarf, jewellery or even make a beige midi jacket to wear on top. SECRET - why not try a cream fashion collar with beads and diamantés ;)
Whether its high street, eBay or your own creation enjoy it and as long as it makes you look and feel great - my job here is done :)
